Hi all, recently bought a 1994/w auto and the 1-2 shift is extremely aggressive. Seems to be the roughest when part throttling. Anyone else seen this issue? 2-3-4 seem to shift nominally. Thanks.

 

I have a similar problem with my 94 323BG auto. Violent shifting and sudden burst of torque when it grabs the gear mainly between gear 1 and 2. This is normal for older auto transmissions by mazda. It's mainly when it's cold. Diagnostic: this is normal for old Mazda auto. New Clutch could help.
