Default Uncooperative plug wires!

OK, how do you get the dang plug wires off ??!!!

I need to change the plugs but I’ve been outsmarted by the friggin plug wires. I can’t get the boot off of the plugs.

On all my previous cars all you had to do was grab the wire and give it a tug. These suckers are on there but good. I’m worried that the bruit force method will mangle the wires (and the attached coils).

Is there a trick or a tool (or am I just lame)?

Default RE: Uncooperative plug wires!

Just lame I think.. Only kidding. Sometimes they do get kind of cooked on there a little. Try taking both coils out first and disconnecting the wires from the coils. More room then to get a hand in there. Twist them back and forth a few times and they should pop loose from the plug ceramic. Use care when pulling the wires and coils out of the plug wells as they are a very close fit.
