Talking Turbo build

Long time since last posted here just wanted to share my turbo build in progress
So far I got:

OBX turbo Manifold

t3/t4 .50trim

Turbo smart wastegate

SSQV BOV

fuel pressure regulator

Intercooler

piping and hoses

Mega squirt 2 ECU

Walbro 255lph fuel pump

removed front bumper

removed intake and exhaust manifold

getting into fuel pump


fuel pump case

old pump and the new Walbro pump

Car blew on the dyno it made 289whp 293tq at 16psi :/

































Hahaha j/k Its almost ready need a downpipe relocating the maf sensor and tune

I sure hope you built the internals first. Protege engines are not known for long life once boosted.
It looks cool though. Wish I had the money to do my 3. I'd settle for another 40-50 hp.

I believe the pattern for the bolts for the turbo manifold changes but I am not sure, if that's the case nothing some machining can take care off

what will this set up cost me? and what where the hp gains made from it? i want to boost my protege but only if its worth it. i have the 1.5 zlve it makes about 128 hp stock so if i can squeeze out about 190- 200hp with this setup i will go this way instead of swapping out the motor. in the process now of having an intake manifold done for it using the itb's from a toyota 20 valve engine.
