Default turbo turbo... turbo?

im trying to decide wether to go with one.... i may sound dumb but what do you consider a good one, but not too expensive? and does anyone have one they are trying to get rid of

Yeah, "not too expensive," generally means not too new, not too quality, or not rebuildable.

Don't go into turbo with an idea of keeping it cheap. If you can't afford it, don't mess with it.

I agree with everything stated above. But, if you really want to boost your protege, look into finding a used turbo setup from a speed protege. That is your best bet. I believe there are a couple for sale right now on mazdas247.com
