And things only get better! @.@
So!
I hit the road to go to my girlfriend's house, pull out onto the highway, and my belt talks to me...
"Sqeeeeeeeeeee... POP!"
Then, here comes the battery light and the overheating.
So, my lovely 98 auto lx is now sitting in front of my local Tires Plus, waiting to get ripped apart and diagnosed.
i am hereby establishing the "Make rick's car not suck" fund!
all donations can be paid directly to Tires Plus! Or my creditors, of course!
Just needed to rant for a minute.
Ciao!

To have a shop do it for you, that's actually not too bad.
Had you been able to do it yourself, you would've saved hundreds.
Two years ago, the day before Christmas my car started acting up. The symptoms were very similar to something else that was done less than 6months before.
The short story: On Dec 26th I took the car in and paid them $350 to have a small plastic valve diagnosed and replaced. Had I known what the trouble was and how easy it was to replace I could have saved myself about $200 of that money.
It's just the way it is, Man, and cars are not always easy to diagnose these days. Not even for those of us that have been around them all our lives.
Anyway, you're back on the road and your car is happy again. All you can do is move on at this point.
