my protege has black smoke coming from the muffler im not sure what it is i already bought fuel injector cleaner, but it didn't help i was told by a couple of friends that if the smoke is kind of blue then my piston ring might be out and its letting oil in but i really dont know so any thoughts would help!

 

If it is black smoke then it is running too rich, the engine is getting too much fuel. If blue, then it is oil burning. Are you having excess oil consumption?

 

i know i have an oil leak but i think your right its getting 2 much gas so what should i do?
