Engine light, got it tested and it says too lean they say O2 sensor so.
I found one under the hold going into the engine manifold, and another
right underneath the front of 02 protege5 2.0 I think. It was in the muffler system.
I didnt get the code # but I can go back tommorrow if need be.
I bought the one for the manifold and changed it and it didnt go off,I cant find the other one underneath.
Well the one that was underneath they only had the universal hard wiring one and dont really want that one and waste money.
the one i bought was 110 and I bought the socket that changes it so easy.

I would look for a vacuum leak first. Check any vacuum hose, especially any one that goes directly to the intake manifold, or the air intake hose that feeds the throttle body from the air cleaner housing. They have a known issue of developing cracks that allow too much air into the intake and cause the MAF sensor to send false signals.
Reading codes is not only taking the data directly, but being able to interpret it properly. They almost never point directly to the problem.

CODE WAS P0171
well the clutch was just changed, all trans mounts, and the air intake hose, which was cracked when they changed it.
I looked everywhere for a leak but the idling problem,I think it is sucking to much air as you stated,I was thinking about checking the little sucking tubes by the diode as someone posted on another thread.make sure those aren't blocked.
I am almost at 120,000 miles and never changed and filter.
Is the sensor in the manifold a O2 heater and the one under the front the O2 sensor.
I would change the one under the front but cant find OEM only the universal O2
