Default Rear Disc Pad Change

I need to change out the rear brake pads on my 02 protege 5
I can't seem to get the rear calipers to retract allowing the new pads to be installed, I'm using the old C-Clamp
method. Is there some trick here?
Please help anybody.

Hopefully they figured that out back in July. If not then is way to late to help on this question.
