has anyone had the problem with the engine surging either at tickover rpm or high rpm or when driving,
also there is a gush of air when you open the gas filler cap.
any help please,

Gush of air coming in or going out? Surging concern may be tied to a problem with the evap system not operating correctly such as a purge control valve being stuck open but not very common. Would more suspect a possible problem with the mass air flow sensor but not enough info about the problem to be able to give a good response.
