i currently own a 95 pro1.5 and recently had drivers side axle replaced ( the cv snapped in a tight turn) oops. anyways after this was fixed i noticed about a week later the front end was making a poping sound when i turned or even if i hit a bump. i took it back to the mechanic he told me it had nothing to do with the axle. since it has gotten worse not only can i here it but i can feel it and it pops and nocks under any vibration. also if i let go of the steering while going straight it pulls left unless i accelerate really hard. i also had it aligned did not do anything when i had alignment done i had these guys look at it as well they said the noise was an exhaust bracket. does anyone have any comments on this if so much apreciated.

 

I had the same problem but on a different car. I had to replace the steering rack, and the problem was fixed. I got a used steering rack for cheap at an LKQ junkyard with a 1 year warranty.
