Hey everybody! I am getting ready to buy a 2000 Mazda Protege from my sister with 154,000 miles on it 5 speed 4 doors, and gold for only 250.00. My sister is really hooking me up. Anyway I should be posting here often I am somewhat familiar with cars and I try to do the repairs myself, but I must say that I know nothing of the protege. My sister has mentioned an oil leak coming from the rear main seal which apparently is not worth fixing, I will read up on this myself. The car runs well from what she is telling me but this oil leak causes it to smoke after driving for about an hour. for 250.00 though i dont think I can complain. Also I have two Altima's and I post on a sister site at Nissanclub.com so I am familiar with this setup.
