MP5 12v Outlet Not Working
I have a 2003 MP5,
so 3 days ago my only 12v power outlet in the car stops working. The inside of the outlet doesn't look fried or anything. The radio, A/C, windows, and interior lights work fine. I'm sure it's a fuse problem. Some people have told me that the 12v outlet is wired with the radio, lights, A/C... etc. The owners manual nor fuse guide on the boxes don't specify anything about the specific fuse for it, so I'm confused on where the fuse is..?
Has anyone else had this problem, or fixed this problem? Please help!
Thanks.

Mazda's electrical documentation sucks big time. I had a defective plug on a cigar lighter socket powered car vac. and it blew a fuse. I do remember clearly that it was only the lighter socket that was dead, and the fuse was located in the fuseblock near the driver's door. The rear surface of the fuse cover gives a map of fuse locations, ratings, and functions. The owner's manual likewise is a gold mine of information, with helpful gems of information like "For the protection of various circuits".
Those mini-fuses are deceptive too. The only sure way to sort the good from the bad is with a continuity check, eyeballing is not dependable.
Finally, after checking, be sure the fuse is inserted fully into the holder.
Once the car side is fixed, you should take a careful look at the gizmos you plug in; I think is was one of them that too out your fuse.
