just trying to locate some basics about my car/model.
mine is an 03 protege lx which i can never seem to find info on.
i mainly wanna find out if mine has ( or had) keyless entry from the factory.
mine does have ac,cc,pw,pdl,in dash 6 disc(i believe) cd player/changer,has factory alloy 15" wheels silver,(195 55 15),2.0 a/t,with od,non sport shift type,have tach in cluster,also i think it is an 03.5 (03 and a half,midyear model) didnt notice or see that subwoofer thing i seen earlier when i was searching....
cloth seats....

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not an expert by any means, but if you good a vin translater, you might be able to find that information out by comparing the vin of your car to it.

 

i think i might have already discovered my own answer,just as well.

i was mainly trying to find out if mine had been factory equipped with the keyless entry system,( with keyfobs,i mean )and some people had said about to look for the module(transmittter/reciever box),and its location,which was said to be above where the clutch pedal would normally be located......

i looked for that box(in that location) and i can see where it would mount up to (i can see the factory installed studs that the box mounts up onto....),and even that mine seems to be ready to accept it to be put right into the factory wiring harness,as there is a plug right there that is just hanging there,and looks like it would be the plug in for the module.

i just really wonder if anyone has ever done that before,put the factory unit into a car that didnt com with it already......
