Yeh.

So, im new to the forum... just joined and I just recently bought an 03 Mazda Speed Protege (Black) with 35,000 miles on it.

I love the car a lot, very very nice upgrade from a 95 Eclipse GS-T

The only thing is....Im not sure if this is true or not is that this engine *APPARENTLY* cannot handle the turbo and will eventually blow..

Is this true? I heard this from 2 different people and its starting to worry me..

I love the car a lot and I dont want this to happen..

I will however get a Perrin Front Mount and Full Perrin Exhaust

Yes, I will keep the stock parts just in case..

What are your opinions and or advice about this "engine cannot handle the turbo and will blow with low miles or so.."

I think that is a total lie because why would Mazda make such an inefficient engine that cannot handle the turbo? Does not make sense and im sure Mazda is not stupid when it comes to engines with turbos.

I mean since I will be getting a front mount, should I change the turbo which means upgrade fuel injectors too.

I wanted to say congrats on the new car and welcome! I'm sorry but I can't comment on turbos and performance for these cars though.

The only reason the turbo would be hard on the engine is that the owners tend to be harder on the cars. We have a Speed around here with over 130k on original turbo and engine. Did have to replace the exhaust manifold as they have a bad habit or warping. Would just resurface if not under warranty though.
