Thumbs up Heater Control Unit

It has died on me
Any way to revive it or just replace it?
I'm gonna double check the fuse but I think it was good when I last checked
Thanks Dudes!

It has a circuit breaker that resets itself. Most likely the brush's in the fan motor are worn out. Turn the fan on and bang on the motor under the passenger side dash. If it starts working replace the blower motor. If not you will need to test the connector at the blower motor for power and ground and work your way back to the switch. There is a blower motor resistor between the motor and switch for different fan speeds.

Hixx is so good, he put me out of work single handedly.

One thing though: the speed selector switch is of questionable quality. If it fails it can fool you in thinking the resistor is bad. So before you spend money bench test these items so you replace the one that's bad. Don't ask me how I found out!

The problem with the switch is that it has an internal spring that pushes on one side only rather than evenly. Someone took a switch apart and inserted a second spring to make it even. It is "hackable".

Sorry, I don't know.
My heat selector sliders were operating very hard. I used silicone lube on them and did not remove the whole unit. My fan switch was not operating well but I found a work-around and did not repair it.

all the best.
