Default Front end wheel noise

2001 Protege
When at highway speeds I notice a whine like noise coming from the drivers side front wheel but onlywith a load on the tire(i.e. switching lanes, etc.) On a straight stretch, If I turn the wheel slightly back and forth, the noise comes and goes with the motion. The noise is pretty much all coming from the driver side front and seems to progressively begetting louder

Any ideas?

Thx

wheel bearing probably. you could look into the ball joint and tie rod ends too.

In my experience, whining at high speed is usually the wheel bearing. Don't let it go or you could damage the axle.
