dipstick length
Can anyone tell me how long exactly the oil dipstick for a 1997 Mazda Protege DX 1.5 L is? Mine got lost and I replaced it with a generic, adjustable one. I think I got the length right but would rather be sure. Thanks!

Well on my 96. It measures 15 and 3/4 inches. Thats measuring from very top to bottom

I hope you weren't including the handle in that measurement as the one she has now is likely going to be different?
