Default Delete of the caddillac converter

I have a 2003 mazda protege 2.0 non turbocharged and I put new headers on my car and deleted the caddillac converter and I had a code throw for the convertor. Is there anyway I can bypass or piggyback my ecu so my computer doesn't read it missing

Disclaimer: I see that the OP has shown to be living in the US. My response is intended for those that are intending to use their vehicle for off road use and will not be using my recommendation to modify their exhaust in such a way that is illegal or against any state and local vehicle codes. Following my recommendation is doing so that should you choose to operate your vehicle illegally I am not responsible for your action in any way as a result of modifying your exhaust system!
In the United States it is illegal to remove and drive on any public Highway removing the Catalytic Converter.
It is a Felony to operate and cause damage to a Federal park resulting form the the CAT being removed.
It is illegal to drive in any Federal Park with a modified exhaust system.
Removing the CAT has very little gain on a normally driven daily driven street car.

That said.....

There are several items available on e-bay that will prevent a DTC caused by the removal of the Catalytic converter.

Placing the HO/2 further away from the direct exhaust flow in most cases solves the DTC activating.
90 Angle Tsudo 18mm 02 CEL Check Engine light eliminator MIL Cat-less smog

If that does not work there are some extender with
M18 X1.5 O2 Oxygen Sensor Bung CEL FIX Mini Cat Check Engine Light Eliminator

I have and used both with equal success.

I ultimately when it is accessible will simply go into the ECU and shut off the post HO/2 sensor from registering.
