Just noticed that when braking harder than usual, the console brake light (the one that shows when the hand brake is on) comes on. There is no light when braking gently.

The fluid level is right between min and max, so I'm wondering if it's just a warning that the fluid is getting low.

top it off and see. when you brake hard, you are pushing fluid into the lines at higher pressure.

it's pretty common on these cars. in my rx7, under hard cornering with low wiper fluid, the light comes on.
