Default A/C question

Hello, I have a 1993 mazda protege. When i bought the car the a/c didnt work.
The compressor was bad, and the condenser leaked. I put in a used compressor, new reciever drier and condenser.
A/C is cold but when i come up to a stoplight and push the clutch in, the rpms fall to almost where it wants to kill, alot of times it does kill.
Is that caused by a bad maf sensor? It only does that when the compressor is engaged.

ANy help would be great
Thanks!

It sounds like a problem in the IAC solenoid. (Idle Air Control) It sits right underneath the throttle body. It is most likely gummed up with carbon deposits and I would try cleaning it first with carb cleaner.
