Hi All,

I just replaced the battery in my '98 1.8L Mazda Protege DX.

Being the moron I am, when asked if my car was 1.5 or 1.8 I spaced and said 1.5.

The battery was picked out for me on that basis by the Autozone guy.

Now that the battery is installed and un-returnable, is it going to cause me any problems by under-powering anything?

Do I need to eat the cash loss and get a new battery made for the 1.8?

I made a quick check on O'Reilly's website and I got the same item number under the 1.5L and the 1.8L version.
You are good to go.
