just installed an intake in my 2000 dx....runs ok...defineate improvement but the check engine light comes on. I reset ecu ( unplug battery), it goes away and then about a day later, it comes back. It lurches when i'm at the lower end of the powerband but when in the mid to high its awesome...it also dies if i turn my car on and dont press on the acclerator....main point is....why is my check engine light comming on?

it sounds to me like there is a leak somewhere. at low rpm's, the motor cannot handle the extra air but can at higher. the check engine light would come on for this reason.

Is the MAF sensor oriented correctly? Plug should be on the dirver's side of the tube.
