Hi

I have a '99 Protege after 320K+ starting to lock me in on the drivers side all of a sudden.. I pull up on the opener by the glass and it just sticks, won't pull up, won't unlock the door, can't get out! If I use pliars to do it will finally give and the door will open in the safety latch so its not completely unlatched but the door has opened 1/4 inch then if you pull the handle inside or out you can get out... and close the door again. The button will or will not work for a while it's intermittent. Nothing I know of has changed on the car so I ordered off eBay a used 2003 door lock mechanism the part that latches to the door and connects, installed it and same thing except this one is newer and does not buzz when using the electric lock / unlock...

Any Ideas??? on what to look at next?
