Looking for help!

I have gotten a new/used key FOB and followed the programming of the following;
1. Locate - On the top of the module is a hole. Inside the hole is a square yellow
button. This is the remote control programming switch.
2. Cycle the ignition key to “ON” then back to “OFF”. Press and hold the yellow
programming button. The vehicle horn will emit four single introduction blasts.
Release the yellow programming button. Press the LOCK button ONLY of a remote
control. The vehicle horn will immediately emit a confirmation blast. Press the LOCK
button ONLY of another remote control. Repeat until all remote controls to be used
with the vehicle, have been learned. Cycle the ignition key “ON” then “OFF” to exit
the programming mode.

the problem I have is that the programming is not working. Whenn using the key fob the horn short beeps and the locks jump but do not lock or unlock and the alarm sounds when opening the door with the key. As soon as I hit the fob unlock (the door locks jump) the alarm stops and I can drive fine.

Any Suggestions On How to Fix This Would Be Greatly Appreciated
