ok im having some problems troubleshooting my gf's protege 5. she bought it used and it's full of all kinds of problems lol. im no mechanic but i do know a little bit about cars. recently she started having a misfire problem and the car was running like crap. so i replaced the plugs and wires and the one ignition coil that looked bad (did not have the cash for both at the time) the misfire got worse after that. put the old plugs back and and it calmed down a bit .. but still misfiring. someone told me egr.. so i took it off and cleaned it. when removing it i had too remove the throttle body to get to it. cleaned it out got everything hooked back up, started the car and now its running worse misfire is horrible and it sounds like someone is killing a cat from that side of the car.... any ideas?? lol
