I have an 03 Protege5 and within the last 100 miles or so the Brake Light & ABS lights have both decided to light up randomly. They are not on at all times, for instance I was about 50 miles into my trip and the lights both turned on. I filled up with gas and re-started the vehicle and the lights were off until about another 20 miles.

Anyone have a similar issue and maybe some advice?

 

It sounds like one of the speed sensors are acting up you have to scan it to see what sensor it is.It could also be a toner wheel. On the CV shaft look for any cracks on the toner wheel or a lot of rust build up
