Just changed the timing belt, battery wouldn't hold charge. Put in new alternator and battery and it still runs under 12 volts. There is a clicking sound coming from the left side of the dash sounds like an actuator or a relay turning off and on. When it clicks on it dims the warning lights.
Also the car is fine if it's just sitting idling, but once you start driving it the battery gets drained and the car dies. Please someone help me out I need my car for work and I cannot afford to get another car.

 

I would check any earth cables that were touched during the cambelt job are properly in place.
