Default 2000 Protege random intermittent stalling in Drive

My automatic runs normally with good power. Once or twice a week, on the freeway or surface streets, the engine cuts out. I feel the car deccelerate. The problem lasts less than 2 seconds, then the car continues down the road like nothing happened. Today the problem occurred three times, once on my way to class and two other times after I left the gym. All short commutes. I have taken the car to the dealership and they report that the car is mechanically fine and no problems found. This only occurs when the car is moving, in drive. Fuel supply, spark, timing? Has anyone else had this prolem?

All advice appreciated.

You might ask the dealer if there is a service bulletin on this. My 02 tribute had a program issue that sounds like what you have, just stops running.
