Default 02 protege fix keyless entry

Hey Everybody!
I purchaseda 2002 Protege LX about a month ago, and the keyless entry died on me already. Checked the battery....checked the power door locks....they are working. Any suggestions?? Could I have disconnected a main wire? (I vacuumed it the other day!)

Thx very much!

you should post a link to that other thread that helped you out so that others can find what you found.

Im relatively new to the forum, so thank you forpointing outwhat I 'should' do.

My keyless entry fob apparently needed to be reprogrammed after my car battery was changed,
1. Remove key from ignition.
2. Open drivers door.
3. Put key in ignition, turn to ON then back to OFF three times.
4. Open and close drivers door three times.
5 Push any single button on the fob TWICE.
