Hello, I dont know much about cars and really done want to get ripped off when I drive into a garage to get my problem fixed so was wondering if you guys could help me out please.

The left tail light of my 02 protege does not light up when I put on my brakes, otherwise, it does turn on when I turn on the headlights etc, just the left tail light does not become brighter etc.

From what I can tell, the Bulb is the same but I could be wrong, is it the same bult that is supposed to become brighter or is there a seprate bulb that I just need to replace?

 

you probably have the bulb that has 2 filament inside one bulb (two spring type of wire inside) one of those two will light up when you turn on the parking light and one only light up when you step on the 'break pedal' that must be busted.. take it out(read the manual) and bring it to any car store like pepboys... it should be cheap..[:@] good luck
