Default Impact/crash sensor on '02 b3000

I just bought an '02 b3000 and I've been trying to track down the impact/crash sensor that tells the air bags when to deploy on this truck and I can't seem to find it. The service techs at Mazda were unsure of its location and the internet points to behind the front bumper somewhere, but I've been underneath the truck, looked down into it, and it doesn't seem to be anywhere. Can someone provide me with a definitive location for this thing?

It was involved in a wreck and the radiator support column was off (which was another suspected location for this), but it doesn't appear the bags were deployed. A suspicion is, based on the quality of the repair work, it might not be there at all or just not functioning.

The airbag light isn't on or anything, but I'd still like to know where it is for peace of mind.

Thanks

Dave
