MX6 clutch/shifting problem
I'm about to buy a 1993 MX6, which is a 5 speed, V6, two door coupe. It has a problem with somethingregarding theclutch/shifting. Current owners thought it was the slave cylinder, but not sure that's it. Took a friend, who is a true Mazda Man, to check it out and he thinks it's the throw out bearing, not the slave cylinder. The slave cylinder and throw out arm both move when the clutch is pushed in, and it will pull when it's put in gear. Problem is, it's almost impossible to get it into gear or to shift it.
Wondering at the cost to repair it if it is the throw out bearing. My buddy, Fish, says the part is really cheap ($10?), but not sure about the labor, since the tranny prolly has to be lifted to get to the bearing.
Also wondering if it could be something else. Any info regardiang this problem will be appreciated, along with anything else I need to know about this car.
Thanks!

Had a similar problem with my mx6 so I changed the cylinder and the bearing and it was fixed. The labor is what's going to cost you the most, maybe you and your friend can split a few beers and knock it out.
