Ok, I know I've asked about this before but, I never really received any clear answers and maybe it's my fault. Maybe I should have been a little more specific with my questions.
1) Has anyone ever switched the automatic gear selector from a Millenia or 626 into an MX-6?
2) If so, how difficult was the process?
3) if not, has anyone used one of the aftermarket auto shifter handles to replace an eaten up factory shifter?

I just got my 6 back out of the shop and I'm anxious to get started on getting the interior creature comforts to where I want them. There are a couple of things I need to handle on the exterior but those are minor. So any help you guys and girls can provide I would truly appreciate. Also, if you know of any links I could check out, could you please include them in your responses? Thanks a lot everyone.

Uncharted territory apparently. Personally, i am a factory spec tech because i was trained by manufacturers. If i needed a part i gave the parts guy a VIN and everything was done specific to that VIN. You may have to experiment to find the correct fit. This can get expensive and time consuming.

 

Every time I find an automatic 626 I can't find an automatic MX6 in the yard. And vice versa, but thank you for a real answer. I guess I'm going to have to do what I was trying to avoid and buy it and try it on mine. If it doesn't work, hopefully they'll take it back. Thanks again though. I really appreciate it.
