[&o]Hello from croatia,i own a Mx3 1.6 16v mazda,my engine is totaly busted so im wondering which other engines could go in my mazda?Mx3-s are very rare here in croatia especialy the 1.6 16v engine.(forgive me for my bad english)

What is wrong with your english? It is much better than my croatian.

Does your mx-3 have the single (SOHC)or dual overhead camshaft engine( DOHC). US version used the single cam but can never tell in other markets from around the world. Early to mid 1990's Protege used the same engine as the MX-3 here.

 

its a dohc engine,16valve from 1996,cannot find it anywhere in croatia,but found one from 1993 in parts (dismantled) for 200euro´s....dont know how to say wich parts i need in english but cannot find them on e-bay...

 

Was afraid it might be a DOHC engine. Mazda did not off a dual cam engine for the MX3 here in North American market. Only the 1.6 sohc 4 cylinder and the 1.8 V6. Would still expect that Protege would be your best bet for finding an engine match.

so protege? the engine that ive seen on mazda xedox 6 (1.6 engine) looks exacly the same like mine on mx,some people are saying it is the same engine so im probably gonna use it,dunno,but then i will need to chenge the electronics on my mx...
