i put a new coil and checked the distriduter and nothing was wrong with it I put a spark plug on the coil wire and it didn't spark. does anyone know what i should check next. I think it is the ignition module how do i check to see if that is the problem or what is the best thing to do.

 

Have you check to see if the distributor rotor is turning? Distributor is driven by the camshaft, if belt break no spark. Check for 12 volt at the coil connection also check the same @ the distributor. If that all good, then the igniter in the distributor is your problem.
Check around on prices & wty's, then also check the same for reman distributor, if you have high mileage maybe best to go with a reman dist.

 

the rotor turns i have checked it but ill checked for the 12 volt to the coil and distributer thanks for the info.
