Hey, i have a 92 maxda MX-3 with a 1.6 B6-ME/2E manual transmission and i want to swap in a KL-ZE, does anyone know if the motor mounts are the same and can i swap a KL-ZE and the manual transmission out of a 93 MX-6? thanks,

 

Hey man know its late but I've had 2 ze probes and I do know for your swap you need the curved neck intake. Not sure on the mounts but I think as long as you have the mx3 v6 you shoud be good but go to probetalk.com they can deffinatly help you man. Good luck the ze is a beast!

 

Your going to need parts from a Mx3 V6. You can put a ZE in, but you'll need to replace engine mounts, cv axles, fuel pump. If you use the straight neck IM, you'll need to move the brake canister a little. Or swap a curved neck IM from a Mazda Millenia. Probe and Mx3 GS trannys are the same. Mx6 has longer gears, but will fit and work. The I4 Mx is not a straight swap for a ze. It would be easier to sell your I4 and buy a V6 and do the swap. Good luck.
