i have a 1991 mpv it has 170k. i was driviing down th road and shut down and would not start back up. i have spark and fuel pressare. what could be my problem be?

 

Is the distributor rotor rotating when cranking the engine over with the distributor cap off?

 

i get spark out of plug wires. so yes it dose turn.

 

I'm wondering if it could have jumped timing or snapped the chain altogether...

 

Give a check then to the position of the rotor in relation to engine. Put the crankshaft at tdc and then look at the rotor position and see if it lines up. Suspect you may have jumped a number of teeth on the timing belt due to a collapsed tensioner.
