Should I fix it, or sell it for parts?
Hey all, I have a 1996 Mazda MPV, a few weeks ago it would not crank over enough to start the engine.
I took it to the shop and 500 dollars later with no fix, they notified me of the following:
- crankshaft pulley, timing belt kit, water pump, and some seals for the crank shaft pulley.
If I order these parts it will likely cost me 500-700 dollars, which I could then fix up and keep it or sell it for more than I would get for it being a parts car.
Any mechanics out there, that can tell me if it's even worth replacing these, or if this is just opening up a whole can of problems down the road. Does anyone have experience with fixing these specific things?
Thanks very much for reading.
