I have a 1999 Milinia 2.5 eng 142,000. The crank shaft pulley keeps breaking. Have changed A/C clutch and pulley, Pulley tensioners, and alt. Have not changed power steering pump and pulley. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix. Have replaced pulley 3 times. Can the a/c compressor be bad or locking-up sometime. A/C seems to be working ok.

I jsut broke my FIRST Crank Pulley today... Am hoping to not experience the problem that you have encountered. But, prior to this happening, the AC belt broke a week and a half ago. I did not put the new on with too much tension, and am baffled as to why a week after a new belt that the pulley itself would shatter. The Pulley looked as if it is a pressed on housing, just the outer ring with the grooves broke and shattered.
If you wouldn't mind and catch this post before tomorrow, could you let me know where you got the pulleys? And approx price, as I am having a hard time locating one at a part store.
