I had my MPV[/b] at a body shop to repair a few scratches on the rear bumper, and then the appraiser opened my front doors to see if there was rust[/b] as he has seen others rust[/b] out in that area. And my 2003 MPV[/b] does have rust[/b]. It's not a great video, but take a look and tell me if you think it should be covered under warranty, or if you've had the same problem.

Update 7/19/08 - Mazda Customer contacted me telling me that they will now cover the rust on my MPV under warranty.

My 04 has it too....Mazda said they would cover that?

 

I received a call from my local Mazda service department telling me that the Mazda rep had changed their decision, and will now cover the rust repair. I was just going on vacation when they called, and they told me to bring it in when I returned, which will be Monday. I will post an update next week when I know more, if that would help you.
