Default 1991 MPV

I am new here and have a problem with my van.
This is my story to date about a month ago we had a stall at a light but it started right up no problem ran great for two weeks then I got stuck in a parking lot but after about 10 mins it started right up no problem but it ran rough just after starting but smoothed out.
Three days later I got stuck agasin and it would not start at all we had it towed to the shop they said it started right up and had trouble duplicating the problem but changed the plugs, wires ,distributor . Ok we drove it away ($478 later) then two days later same problem about 10 mins after start up it has troble but now it will start right up but its rough for a few mins but will smooth out. So my hubby changed the ignition coil ran great for two days then it stalled at the stop sign but it restarted and I gas/ braked it home so my hubby changed the fuel filter again it ran but I had problems with it yesterday so now its great cold and crappy at almost warm but I can keep it going with the two footed driving to keep the idle up.
Okay you guys what should we do next? Xmas is coming and I just cant take it to a mechanic who is just going to throw parts at it till they fix it ,maybe, I need it to be fixed...help, please.
If your still with me thanks
Lynn

Lynn:

You might need a new TPS, Throttle Position Sensor to keep the idle constant.
