Guys, i have a problem with a knock sensor. It goes on one days and goes off the other day, but now i started noticing that the check engine light goes on only when it's wet outside. Does anybody know where the knock sensor is and if anybody knows a place where i could buy it for cheap because the cheapest one i could find is almost $200, which is too much for the sensor. I drive 98' Milly 2.5L. thanks in advance

 

Hey man, the knock sensor is located under the intake manifold right in the middle of the block. Its a little hard to see cause there is two water bypass pipes right on top of it making it difficult to get to...Your not going to find that part cheaper than what you found it for and do not go to autozone and get the wells product cause they really suck.. i suggest oem.With labor and parts your looking right around four hundred dollars! Parts are not cheap for our cars, they are pretty expensive! Millenias are notorious for knock sensors going bad, mine went bad and it really screws with the gas mileage and the timing of your car, its better for you to take car of it now!..let me know what happens and if you have any more questions
