Default keninn help or anyone else

Hey,
I found a Chilton guide that goes up to 1998 and shows a 2.3 s Millenia in it. Would that be at all useful for a 2002, or did they completely change the engine for the newer models. Was the older version a Miller Cycle?
I'd love to get some sort of resource guide for future workings on our Millie.
Thanks.

there are only very minor differences in the entire car. most of the changes came after my 95-96. for instance, the intake on the early cars has flanges where the intercoolers bolt up, and the later cars have one flange replaced by silicone hose. also, one of the breather tubes on the compressor goes out at a different angle. early cars had the drink holder in the dash, later in the console. the audio system changed slightly, dunno if the 95-96 will fit in the 97-00. 01-head unit was changed. 95/96 had larger shock mounts, and stuff like the bump stops changed again in 01. seat pads are different on the 95/6. supposedly, the 01 my and later chassis is 30% stiffer, and the 01- 2.3 has a rear sway bar. i think the chilton manual on the millenia sucks. you should get the factory service manual. there are separate manuals also for wiring and brakes. each set of manuals are different for each year. they are also colored differently each year. for instance, the 99 manuals are maroon. 97 is orange. i also have a factory manual on the bodywork, but it was only printed in 95. there are several sets of fsm on ebay right now.

thank Keninn...you're working overtime on my "stuff" (hopefully others will get something out of it too)...thanks for your time.

BTW...have not nutted up yet on the vacuum leak repair. I guess I've read so much on this board, that I'm a bit gun shy. I'd have no problem taking my old rodeo apart to work on it, but I'm sure I'll get over it and get it done soon. Thanks for the help on that "stuff" too.
