Default A/C & Heat Display

95 Millenia 2.5
This car was purchased with an aftermarket radio. The A/C & Heat display (setting display above the radio) quit. Everything worked fine for 3-4 months after the car was purchased, then the display went out. I have checked the fuses and relays and they seem to be fine.
The A/C and Heat work fine, you just have to play with it to find where the air is blowing (Windshield, floor, dash,ect....).
I mentioned the radio because it is directly below the display, but it is working fine also.
Any suggestions???
Thanks

you can buy those units off ebay for 25 bucks. they are easy to change, the entire assembly is just held in by 2 screws, one on each side of the steering column. then it pops right off. i have 2 ebay units, one is just the display/amp, cost about 20 bucks, then i got a complete assembly for about the same, because i wanted to see how it looked. once you see it, you will be surprised at how easy it is to remove. the hard part is unclipping the harness' on the back of the amp. when you get the whole thing off, all the individual parts unscrew/unclip from behind.

Thanks keninn, but I don't think we are talking about the same display. This one has the clock, temp., air possition in it and is LED readout. It does not have the amp in it.

the one that is above the cc controls, right? i was saying when you pull the assembly, you have to disconnect the multipin connectors to the amplifier, which sits below the display. the clock has only one small multipin connector, the cc amp has 2 big ones, and they dont like to come out easy. there is no way you are going to get at it unless you pull the entire front part of the dash. the display, cc amp, and some other parts are all connected to that part of the dash by screws/clips that are only accessible from behind. when you change it, you will see exactly what i mean.

Thanks Kennin,
It's all a mute point now, she totaled the car. Rolled it three times and threw her out the sunroof. The car is now salvage.
