My car for the last month has decided to sort of shake occasionally. It is not a shudder like Ive felt in a car. The best description of it is as if you're driving and then it feels like it is hitting the brakes. Mind you I'm doing no such thing. It usually happens around the 40mph and it has occurred while at complete stop, (but still in drive ). I take it to the mechanic and they have NO idea. I had to pay all this money for them to tell me to just keep bringing it in if it continues. Well of course it does.
They say they have never felt the shudder/brake feeling.
Is there someone who knows why this might be happening? At least so I can tell a mechanic what exactly to look for. They say nothing looks broken or missing under the hood.
Please help, its getting colder out and I'm afraid it may stall eventually.
