I am thinking of purchasing a used Miata as a week-end fun car and was thinking about a 04-06. Is there any year better then the other? What should I look for that is a "must have"? Thanks a bunch!!

 

Get the Mazdaspeed model if you can

 

2006 is the first year of the restyling.

So you're looking at two different cars here (sort of).I don't think there are any "must-haves" for either model. In 2007, the retractable hardtop became a must-have for me. I live in a colder climate and soft tops have never been very popular up here.

If you're just buying it for weekend driving, a 2004 model should be quite cheap to acquire.
