Default miata motors

ive been searchin this forum for about a week now, havn't really found what im lookin for

im curious as to what engines fit in what car (miata)without modification as well as what tranny's bolt up to what motor and drivetrain info.

basically my plan is to buy a mazda motor and build it myself, im lookin for 225-275 bhp. probly turbo, butdepends on the conclusion of my research into what is gonna be the cheapest to achieve my goal.

ive been in the e30bmw scene since i got my first car when i was 17. since then ive owned four. (im 19)
done a few stock motor swaps and tranny swaps and built a couple engines.

n e way once my motor is built i want to find a cleanshell (old one with pop ups)and drop it in.
as well as all the usual suspension stuff. coilovers, sway bars, camber plates. i dont think im gonna have troubles finding any aftermarket parts for a miata

No, no trouble finding Miata AM parts. They are raced regularly andif you've got the pockets for it, should be able to find nearly anything your heart desires.

That's a pretty impressive resume for one so young though. Good job!! Welcome to the club E30F.
As for engine swaps, again there are so many sites, both regular forum and racing oriented forum, for the Miata you should be able to find an answer pretty quickly, I would think?
However, I don't have enough experience w/them to answer your question. Someone else here may though.

Nothing will really just bolt in. Honestly, the easiest route would be a Ford 302. However, you can attain 225-275hp by turbocharging the stock motor.
