engine swap

RE: engine swap
people have put 5.7L LS1 engines from Corvettes(C5s). I'm sure you can do it, how much modification is needed I don't know, but it shouldn't give you too much trouble. Good luck with that.

RE: engine swap
yeah I agree with that ^^^^^ but you asked if the V6 would go into it smoothly. I gave you my answer. Now if you want an opinion, get the new 170 hp Mx-5 engine and N/A tune it up. you'l have fast response and can make probably around 220 hp wihtout going force fed. That way you maintain your 50/50 weight too turbos weigh alot.

RE: engine swap
Sunday I saw a 3rd Gen Limited at a Mazda meet. It was #240 of 3500 made. Special color ("Velocity Red" as apposed to miatas "True Red", it's practically the same but the Velocity is a little brighter and has red metallic flake in it) option package, accenting, badging, and I think exhaust as well. It was awesome. Now I won't like them unless it's limited.

RE: engine swap
engine swaps can be hard to do if you dont what your doing, my suggestion is to do what 87 turbo II said, as for aftermarket that make good parts for engine rebuild their are too many good ones to choose from, but as for the turbo if you decide to even do all of this id suggest turbonetics.
