I am looking to swap a 2005 mazda 6 v6 engine into a 2003 mazda 6. Has anyone done this swap. The dealer is telling me that the short block is the same but the head may be different. I've found the 2005 engine really cheap and thats why I'm looking to try it. If anyone has done this or know if it will work please let me know.

I did the swap of a2005 into a2003 mazda6 and cannot motor to run. Did you do the swap. My engine will run if i blow extra gas into the air flow between air box and thropple body and when it warms it will run
