Default Broken Headrest Zipper Slider

I bought a new set of headrest speakers for my 92 and had no problem replacing the driver's side, but ran into a problem on the passenger seat. The zipper slider would not budge and I ended up breaking not only the pull tab, but also the arch that holds the pull tab in place. I tried everything to get the slider to move, but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm afraid if I separate the zipper, I'll never get it closed again. Are there any repair kits out there? Thanks!

Maybe a picture of the carnage would help us see what you're dealing with?

Default RE: Broken Headrest Zipper Slider

I managed to pull the slider down to the bottom and discovered that a few of the teeth appear to be melted together, which is why the slider won't unzip. I'm wondering if it is possible to cut the actual zipper above the melted teeth and insert another slider at that point. I'm not sure if that can be done or not. Any thoughts?
